Consortium Blockchain
A consortium blockchain is a type of blockchain network where a pre-selected group of participants (such as organizations or businesses) are given permission to validate transactions and maintain the blockchain. This setup contrasts with public blockchains where anyone can participate, making consortium blockchains a hybrid approach, often compared to private networks used in traditional finance (TradFi) for enhanced security and control without the openness of full decentralization.
