Quote from my hometown hero, Muhammad Ali (Louisville, KY) The mission of Cardano Foundation: We exist to ensure the positive advancement of the Cardano protocol, while also contributing to the positive advancement of blockchain as a world-changing technology. In everything we do, we enable, empower, facilitate and accelerate progress in the blockchain space. Ultimately, the Cardano Foundation exists to make better a reality. The purpose of enterprise-based partnerships are to enhance the anchoring of the blockchain into the offline world while demonstrating on-chain economic utility. Specifically, leveraging blockchain to create new operating models, enhance existing industry value chains, and provide high assurance infrastructure for DApps, digital assets, and data analysis. Jeremy draws on his past experiences from working with large corporations both as a corporate banker and in the blockchain industry to deliver results towards the Foundation’s missions of adoption and stakeholder accountability. My Background: Seasoned corporate banking professional with broad experiences in different industries including FMCG, Energy, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Commodities, etc. Transitioned to the blockchain industry full-time in 2017 where I applied my extensive knowledge of large enterprises to adopt blockchain applications and undergo digital transformation strategies. Working for smaller Taiwanese banks has allowed me to wear many hats and perform several different functions within an organization. Core abilities include corporate risk and financial analysis, competitive and industry analysis, pricing and negotiations, customer relationship management, legal due diligence, etc. As the only foreigner who worked in Taiwan as a corporate banker: 1) I served a strategic role and was exposed to all areas of the business. 2) I had the flexibility to work with different industries, which quickly developed my professionalism and understanding of business operations in different industries across emerging markets. 3) I developed a very broad big picture view and did the detailed work needed to complete each step of the loan processes. 4) As the starting point of my career, I developed a set of soft skills most people take 10-15 years to complete. Understanding the effects of industry 4.0 on business models, I have transitioned to Fintech to better serve companies as the role of corporate finance changes.
