Gary Chu is general counsel at Fnality International, taking responsibility for the group's legal, regulatory and governance affairs. He is also a member of the executive leadership team. Gary combines legal excellence with a deep understanding of finance, technology, and policy drivers to deliver first-class solutions. Taking an inclusive approach to leadership, he is passionate about embracing diversity - of thought, identity and perspective - in enabling teams to deliver the best outcomes for the business and all of its stakeholders. His work on Fnality started in 2015 when it was a 'proof-of-concept' within UBS. Since then, Gary has helped steer every step of Fnality's journey, from launch of the multi-bank consortium R&D project in 2016, to company founding in 2019, and to the subsequent development and commercialisation of its enterprise payments offering. Gary is admitted to practise law in Australia and England, and also holds qualifications in business and music. He speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
