Summary
I'm a passionate software/mobile engineer and web developer with prior experience building full stack applications and websites. I've previously acted as a consultant with such websites as poolhall.com where I helped to build applications like chatrooms and login systems. Before joining ZenSports I had designed and ran a handicap system based on the ELO system used for pool tournaments all over the South Bay Area, Santa Cruz area and Monterey. While doing so I built and maintained a full stack application used to calculate players' handicaps and a website in which players could look up just about any possible statistic they could ever wish for. Among other freelance projects that I have been a part of, I've had experience working with a wide array of programming languages and frameworks ranging from Java and Php to Rails and Angular.js.

- Develop our back-end in Ruby on Rails. - Develop our Android front-end. - Utilized Cloudinary and Algolia to launch social networking features, including the ability to upload/share videos, photos, and stories. - Integrated a video broadcasting API, Iris, in order to implement a heavily-used live streaming feature. - Integrated Sendbird's API for our instant messaging feature. - Integrated Facebook's API for logging into ZenSports using your Facebook account. - Manage Algolia API integration for all instances of search and display of search results. - Manage Cloudinary for the handling of all photos. - Develop push and in-product push notifications for both Android and iOS. - Integrated Stripe's Connect program, which allows ZenSports to collect player payments, and automatically transfer those payments to our partner accounts on the supply side of the marketplace (i.e. to partner facilities, competition directors, etc.).

Created and maintained a handicap system based on the ELO system as well as all the software necessary to be used for handicapping local pool tournaments in the South Bay Area and beyond. By 2016, the system had spread to rooms in the Santa Cruz and Monterey areas as well. As well as the software, I also maintain the website www.dbhs-tournaments.com where anyone can look up almost any sort of statistic that they could think of.
