Summary
It started with Legos. As a youngster, friends and I would spend hours and hours snapping those colorful bricks together into all sorts of creations. No "follow along with the instructions" kits for us, it was all original, from our imaginations and from scratch. Fast forward decades later and Legos turned into software, electronics, startups and products used by millions of consumers. And I'm still driven to build and create. I've been fortunate enough to conceive of and create products used by lots of consumers. I've run product teams both big and small, served as a startup CEO, and an exec at a large, global corporation. I've sold startups and acquired a few too. But I still code everyday because I really enjoy it. Creating and building is the thread that runs through all of my work experiences. I’d love to connect with you if you’re interested in kicking around ideas related to analytics, retail or IoT. Please don't cold contact me about IT services, offshore development or contract manufacturing.

Along with two partners, acquired, rescued and re-built the largest Equestrian Tack Shop in Central Massachusetts. Before our ownership, the business was literally run off pieces of paper. Now customers check out on a Square for Retail tablet and shop our online store. And all of this adds up to a much better run business achieving record sales to happy equestrians in Central MA. While my partners are hands on with customers, I've focused on the technology behind the business. I've spent nights and weekends writing lots of Python to do everything from stock/sales reports, low stock alerts (with vendor item numbers so re-ordering is easy) and a one-way SKU sync from Square to Bigcommerce. I'm currently having a lot of fun developing an inventory management system that uses supervised machine learning to recommend which products to re-stock in the proper quantity to meet customer demand.
