Daniel Gasteiger has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. He began his career as an FX trader at Credit Suisse and later moved to UBS, where he worked with hedge funds and third-party banks, promoting UBS' FX e-commerce and API trading solutions, as well as FX Prime Brokerage services. In his most recent role at UBS, he held the position of Managing Director and Chief of Staff in the office of the Chairman. His fascination with Blockchain technology led him to venture into entrepreneurship in 2015. Since then, he has co-founded several start-ups within the Swiss blockchain ecosystem. One of these start-ups, Procivis AG, was acquired by Orell Füssli Group in 2021. Additionally, he co-founded Trust Square, which is Switzerland's leading blockchain and technology start-up hub in Zurich. Daniel is an active participant in digital identity discussions at both Swiss and international levels. He is a co-founder of the Digital Identity and Data Sovereignty Association Switzerland (DIDAS) and the initiator of the Digital Identity unConference Europe (DICE).
