With over four decades of experience in Asia, I am a people-oriented sales leader and a FinTech expert in the field of trade finance. I have successfully launched and managed new businesses in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, and have acquired extensive knowledge and skills in trade finance, cash management, institutional banking, and financial risk management. As the CEO of Contour, I led a global network of banks, corporates, and technology partners that leverages blockchain technology to digitize and streamline the trade finance process. Our mission was to transform the industry by creating a more efficient, transparent, and secure platform that reduces costs, delays, and errors. We sold the company to Xalts.io in January 2024 and I set up Wegner Asia to assist fintechs in payments, trade, and blockchain to expand in Asia. I write and lecture regularly on topics such as financial supply chain management, RMB internationalization, and FinTech innovation. In addition, I am an active angel investor and a mentor at Chinaccelerator, where I support and advise aspiring entrepreneurs.
