I am currently the CTO of Digital Asset in Market and Security Services IT of HSBC, accountable and responsible for distributed ledger technology (DLT) direction and engineering performance including build quality for digital asset technology projects (asset tokenization, crypto, public/private DLT interoperability, web3, DLT innovation and research). Prior to HSBC, I was a Founder and CTO of CryptoBLK with successful track record in raising and leading a fintech company to build complex DLT applications and products that used by Fortune 500 companies – trade finance, central bank digital currency (CBDC), digital assets and various production blockchain utility tooling. I was a frequent speaker for public technical forums, conferences, seminar, webinar and private technical events. I was the Head of Blockchain Group in ASTRI, largest research center in HK, before founding CryptoBLK, spearheading and leading one of the first production-grade DLT systems in HK for the banking industry as well as DLT PoC for HK regulator. I also co-authored the first DLT whitepaper commissioned by Hong Kong Monetary Authority. I served as technical advisors for number of fintech companies and is a co-inventor of number of technology patents.
